Down Under Adventure #2 –Let’s walk around town-

Day two in Newcastle, temperature was low as usual. After breakfast then we were ready for sightseeing!

First stop; King Edward Park

Second stop; Newcastle Beach

Third stop; Nobbys Beach

Fourth stop University of Newcastle!

Apart from the library, we visited some other places around the university compound and I can no longer remember them. But I pity our new friends from Newcastle who brought us walking around campus because we literally stopped at every inch of the university ground to take photos!

That afternoon after zuhur we went to Blackbutt Reserve.

It’s like a mini wildlife sanctuary. Saw a koala sleeping on a tree. And that was enough to make everybody went crazy. Maybe it was our luck when the koala suddenly woke up and gave us a look. That moment everyone gone hysteric! It was like seeing your favorite Kpop star at the airport! (Though I doubt I have any), but trust me it was pretty close to that. And it wasn’t long till he (I assume it’s a he) climbed the tree higher and went sleeping again.

Done with Blackbutt Reserve, we went home to get ready for a forum that night. The forum was one of the activities we planned to have with Newcastle students. Lecturers from USIM plus a student representative from University of Newcastle were the panelists discussing topics we have listed beforehand. It was kinda the climax event for our stay in Newcastle.

The stay in Newcastle was awesome. I need to repeat this; their welcome for us was warm, too warm despite the cold winter. The next day we need to catch up the train to Sydney early in the morning.

Ps: Truth is I messed up which was Nobbys and which was Newcastle Beach.
